Super Eagles skipper John Mikel Obi, failed to make the draft 24-man list for the African Cup of Nations Qualifier against Seychelles billed to come up on the 8th of next month.
In a list published by the Nigerian Football Federation, the technical adviser of the eagles, Gernot Rohr, made several inclusions and also retained some of the players who represented Nigeria at the just concluded FIFA world cup in Russia.
Some of the new entrants to the squad include former captain of the Under-17 side, Kelechi Nwakali; Bourdeaux of France forward, Samuel Kalu; and Rotherham United of England defender, Semi Ajayi.
Mikel Obi, who captained the side at the World Cup in Russia earlier this year, will not travel to the island nation from his base in China, where he plays for Tianjin TEDA and only recently returned from injury.
