The NLC strike which began yesterday has continued to shut down activities a lot of government institutions nation-wide.
Here in Nnewi, the strike affected a few establishments including government-owned schools, hospitals and a few other establishments.
Yesterday some of these establishments did not heed to the NLC strike order, but today, students did not go to school and those who went at all were seen in the early hours going back home.
Our reporter who went around the town was faced with the schools completely closed in compliance with the order by the organised labour. A particular school in Nnewichi, the Nnewichi Community Secondary School was seen to be shut-down.

Also, the Teaching Hospital was not fully operational today, only a few offices were open for health services. According to one of the workers in the hospital who pleaded anonymity, only the Accident and emergency ward complex was made open, due to its importance.
