Corruption is one of the main drivers of social upheavals around the globe, underpinning recent major developments like the Arab Spring and many African countries . Corruption could be said to be the main factor challenging the African continent and stunting their development.

Oby Ezekwesili, former Minister of Education in Nigeria and Vice president for Africa in the World Bank and one of the founders of Transparency International , has been a local and international champion against the fight against Corruption .

Oby Ezekwesili has been shortlisted for the NOBLE PEACE PRIZE AWARD that is slated to be announced later today.
