Rescheduled APC legislative Primaries to hold in Anambra tomorrow

The annulled legislative primaries of the All Progressives Congress APC in Anambra State are to be held today, Sunday 7th of October 2018 in the affected places.

In a release signed by the APC’s Publicity Secretary in the state Arc. Okello Madukaife, the party assures contestants and delegates of a credible election which is positioned to produce candidates who will reflect the wish of the people.

UPDATE ON APC 2019 ELECTION PRIMARIES IN ANAMBRA STATE

Please be informed that following the annulment of the inconclusive APC Legislative Election Primaries,held on Thursday October 4,2018, the National Working Committee (NWC),our great party has set up a fresh Seven-man Committee to conduct fresh Primaries to elect candidates to fly the flag of our great party in the 2019 General Elections – Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly.

The committee is expected to arrive Awka on Saturday, October 6,2018 and among other things hold a meeting with the State Working Committee (SWC), aspirants and Stakeholders in the chapter.

The primaries are expected to hold on Sunday, October 7,2018, subject to confirmation by the committee which is also expected to confirm a proper list of aspirants, in the wake of conflicting information that emerged on October 2,2018 in the list of Senatorial Contestants in Anambra North and Anambra South Senatorial Districts.

With concern for the time so far put into this exercise,since Tuesday October 2,2018, we urge party officials in wards and Local Governments, aspirants, campaign coordinators and party faithful to gear up to get it right in this final opportunity.

Due notice will be given for the Stakeholder’s meeting upon arrival of the new Primaries Committee in Awka.
