INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY: SUPER FALCONS OF NIGERIA, LOSE 3-1 TO ASEC MIMOSA

Nigeria’s women senior national team, Super Falcons yesterday lost 3-1 to Asec Mimosas U-16 boys in a friendly played Sol Beni Stadium in Abidjan.

This will record a second loss for the Falcons who are on an 8-day training tour in Cote D’Ívoire ahead of the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Ghana.

The Super Falcons had lost 3-2 in their first friendly match against Dominion Hotspur at the Atlantic Hall pitch, Epe during their two-weeks long camping in Lagos.
Nigeria have been drawn in Group B and to tackle South Africa in their first game on November 18 before facing Zambia and Equatorial Guinea.

Nigeria are the defending champions after beating Cameroon two years ago.
Falcons will face Equatorial Guinea after their reinstatement back to the competition by CAF.
