NIGERIA HELD UGANDA TO A 0:0 DRAW IN ASABA

The Super Eagles of Nigeria, Tuesday, held the visiting Cranes of Uganda to a 0:0 draw in an international friendly held at the Stephen Kechi Stadium, Asaba.

Both sides were careful not to concede goals though the Cranes had more chances of getting behind Daniel Akpeyi, but lacked the edge, and were rather wasteful.

Despite huge turn out of spectators and full capacity of the stadium, the Super Eagles could not put up a good show before their home Fans; though two players were exceptional in the game, John Ogu and Mikel Agu.

Mikel Agu, thrilled the crowd with his astounding performance, making so many breakers and several attempts to get the Cranes’ net shaking.

Gernot Rohr started John Ogu from the Center Back position and the versatile Ogu proved his critics wrong again by performing credibly well and held his position brilliantly before he switched to his more usual role in defensive midfield after the break.
