FULL DETAILS: GUNMEN KILL HOTEL MANAGER IN NNEWI (FULL DETAILS)

Tragedy struck Nnewi, the industrial city of Anambra State, as gunmen numbering about eight, invaded one Swizz Park Hotel and killed the assistant manager of Makossa Lounge of the hotel identified simply as Chukwunonso Igbokwe.

The incident occurred at the late hours of Wednesday, December 13; when unknown gunmen stormed the hotel.

Reliable source informed Anaedoonline that as soon as the gunman arrived the hotel, security man on duty went into hiding; while the gunmen went straight to the assistant manager of the hotel who was allegedly decorating the hotel with Christmas lights; and held him hostage.
It was learnt that the gunmen had demanded to see the security man; and threatened to kill the assistant manager if the security man failed to come. It was also gathered that at a point, when they could not see the security man, they shot the assistant manager and left him at the pool of his blood.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.
As at the time of filling this report, the police authorities could not confirm the development as the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Haruma Mohammed, contacted by Anaedoonline demanded to be given time to verify.
