Is It Most Beautiful Girl in Nnewi or Most Beautiful Igbo Girl?
Eyebrow was raised today, 27th August 2018, during the Ofala Festival of Igwe Nnewi, His Royal Highness, Igwe Kenneth Orizu (CON), as what was a shock to many took place at the Anaedo T.V Red Carpet.
Anaedo T.V interviewed guests who graced the Ofala Festival of Igwe Kenneth Orizu, including the Former Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, the Member Representating Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, Hon. Engr. Chris Azubuogu, Chairman Innocson Group of Companies, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, and many other guests.

However, it was indeed an unbelievable scene when about Thirteen (13) contestants of Nnewi pageantry show, “Most Beautiful Girl in Nnewi” which was purportedly only meant for contestation for Nnewi indigenous ladies showed up for their own interview.
It was noticed during the interview, that when the presenter, Onyinye Okeke, asked the girls questions in Igbo, most of them could not reply to her in Igbo language.
According to one of the contestants who Anaedo Tv Presenter interviewed,’ even though all of the contestants are Igbo girls, many of them came from different states.”

The development has raised serious concerns about the Beauty Show which is believed to be for Nnewi indigenous ladies. Some Nnewi Indigenes who were present expressed misgivings about the incident.
