It was a celebration of rich cultural heritage and customs of Umueri Oke-ebo kingdom in Anambra East Local Government Area as the traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Sir Benneth Emeka celebrated his second Ofala Festival.
The event which took place at the palace of Igwe Emeka was used to confer chieftaincy titles on some illustrious sons and daughters of Umueri and their neighbours for their outstanding contributions to the progress and development of the community.

The people of Umueri both at home and in the Diaspora, their friends and well wishers gathered at the Ovala Arena for the celebration where different cultural troops and masquerades from within and outside Umueri took turns to display their dance steps
All the villages in Umueri community including the Umu-Adas’ and the youths, traditional rulers from other communities, government officials, and friends of Umueri paid homage to Igwe Emeka.

In his speech, Igwe Emeka who thanked God for his faithfulness expressed gratitude to all who graced the occasion for their determination to administer and move Umueri forward in all spheres of life, urging them to sustain the tempo.
The traditional ruler who commended Governor Willie Obiano for executing developmental projects and appointing to political positions Ndi Umueri, requested for the establishment of School of Nursing at Umueri General Hospital, Federal appointments to Umueri people and construction of more roads in the community among others.

The President General, Umueri General Assembly, Chief Pius Okonkwo, Secretary Umueri Royal Cabinet, Professor Ogugua Ikpeze and another Cabinet member, Hon. Mike Udah who thanked God for Igwe Emeka, commended the people of Umueri for their contributions towards achieving greater Umueri.
Among those conferred with Chieftaincy title were Governor Willie Obiano and the Senator representing Anambra Central at the National Assembly, Chief Victor Umeh.
