PSG STAR NEYMAR GOES OFF IN TEARS WITH ANKLE INJURY AHEAD OF MANCHESTER UNITED CLASH
Neymar was forced off with a nasty-looking ankle injury as Paris Saint-Germain defeated Strasbourg 2-0 in the last 32 of the Coupe de France.
PSG’s night got off to the perfect start as Edinson Cavani opened the scoring in only the 4th minute, but Thomas Tuchel will be sweating over Neymar’s injury ahead of the side’s Champions League clash with Manchester United.
The Brazilian forward went down in a heap in the second half and tried to play through the pain after some initial treatment on the touchline at the Parc des Princes.
However, Moussa Diaby came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute and Neymar was in tears as he made his way down the tunnel.
Neymar, who suffered foot problems before and during the World Cup last summer, appeared to roll his ankle while dribbling past Strasbourg midfielder Moataz Zemzemi.
Asked about Neymar’s injury after the final whistle, Tuchel replied:
‘No news for Neymar but he’s worried. It’s the same foot [that he injured before the World Cup].’

With ten minutes remaining in the match, Angel Di Maria doubled PSG’s advantage to put the Ligue 1 giants out of sight.
PSG face a nervous wait to discover the severity of Neymar’s injury, with Tuchel’s men preparing for their trip to Old Trafford on February 12. The return leg of the Champions League last-16 tie takes place on March 3.
