ELECTION: NNEWI TRADITIONAL PRIME MINISTER DRUMS SUPPORT FOR NONSO OKAFOR

The Traditional Prime Minister of Nnewi, Chief Barr. Ofili Nwosu, has advised Nnewi residents and electorates to vote massively for the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Nnewi North State Constituency election, Comrade Nonso Okafor, in the March 9th State House of Assembly Election.

Nwosu made the call on Friday, March 1, when he hosted Otolo Nnewi community and members of Nonso Okafor campaign team in his palace in Otolo Nnewi.

The traditional prime minister said that he is supporting Comrade Okafor based on his avowed competence, proven experience, political exposure and past antecedents.

“Nonso Okafor is a young man that I know very well. I taught him back then at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko. He was one of the brightest students at school then. He was the first person from Nnewi to become the president of students union in the school. When he left school, he attended different leadership programs both home and aboard. He also met with the former President of America, Barack Obama, where he was celebrated for having the courage to speak for the African youths.

“I am endorsing him because, he is someone that if elected into Anambra State House of Assembly, he will, indeed, perform.

Reacting to Chief Ofili’s remarks, the APGA candidate, Comrade Okafor, thanked the traditional prime minister for his support and promised not to disappoint if elected into Anambra State House of Assembly.

Comrade Okafor was accompanied to the visit by the Transitional Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government, Hon. Engr. Chukwudi Orizu; the Director-General Of Nonso Okafor Campaign Organization, Arc. Paul Ileka; and other members of his campaign team.
