MARCH 9 ELECTION: OBIANO’S WIFE SUMMONS 1,300 POLITICAL APPOINTEES TO AGULERI
As Governorship and State Assembly elections hold nationwide on Saturday, March 9, Anambra State Government has become apprehensive that what happened on February 23 in Anambra State, where APGA lost all senatorial slots and grabbed only 4 out of 11 House of Representative seats in the state, may repeat itself.
To this end, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, has summoned all political appointees, numbering over 1,300 to her Aguleri country home to deliberate on modalities that will help APGA get at least, two third majority in the State Assembly, so that her husband, the governor, will not have problems after the election.
The meeting scheduled for 2pm today, March 6, is expected to have all political appointees in attendance.
Source close to the First Lady informed Anaedooline. com that the wife of the governor had insisted that she would not tolerate repetition of what happened on February 23, where APGA almost lost out.
The wife of the governor, according to the source, said she would empower all the SAs, SSAs, EAs, about 1,300 of them, adequately with fund to be able to deliver results in their respective areas; adding that anyone of them that fails to deliver result will be relieved of his appointment.
