FIRE RAZES TWO SHOPS IN NNEWI, DESTROYS GOODS WORTH N5M (PHOTOS)

Two businesswomen in Nnewi, identified as Mama Ejima and Omerebele, lost goods and property worth N5m when their shops sited within Amuko junction in Uruagu, Nnewi North LGA of Anambra State, was gutted by fire in the midnight of Saturday, March 9.
A reliable source told Anaedoonline.com that the fire outbreak was caused by high electric current.

The source said: “At about 11 pm, I was on my bed watching a movie when I perceived the smell of smoke. Minutes later, I ran outside and noticed that the two shops downstairs were on fire. I had to run to Mama Ejima’s house and told her what was happening. We ran to the scene together, and called the fire service who came and helped to stop the fire; but before their arrival, much damage has been done”.
