GOVERNOR OBIANO COMMISIONS STREET-LIGHT PROJECTS IN NNEWI.(PHOTOS)

The Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Dr. Willie Obiano has commissioned the Street light Project at the stretch of the popular Amuko Junction to Abubor Nnewichi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The Governor who commissioned the street light on Tuesday evening, 26th March 2019, amidst cheers from Nnewi residents promised to consolidate his efforts in the economy and security architecture of the state.

Speaking about his administration commitment in making sure that major streets in the State are lit up, the Governor said that the Street lighting was part of his plan of building 24-hour business activities that will boost the economy of the State.

While promising that his administration will ensure that no part of the state will be left untouched in the Light-up project, he said that the street lighting will also improve the Security of Nnewi in the night.

The Governor reiterated his commitment towards improving the economy of Nnewi, he spoke about his efforts which have ensured that Nnewi is currently enjoying approximately 16hours of electricity.
He, however, promised to consolidate on his efforts in other areas that affect the economic life of Nnewi.

On his part, the Anambra State House of Assembly Member-Elect for Nnewi North State Constituency, Nonso Okafor (Smart) commended the Governor on the Street light initiative and urged residents to take full ownership of the project.

The Commissioner for Public Utility in Anambra State, Mr. Obi Nwankwo who also commended the Governor, acknowledged that the Government was on the Fourth phase (100Km each) of the project in the State as over 300Km has already been completed
