Good Friday: Christians In Nnewi Advised To Emulate The Sacrifices Of Jesus.

As Christians all over the world marked Good Friday, today, April 19th, 2019, Christians in Nnewi have been encouraged to emulate the sacrifices Jesus Christ made to save mankind.

In a Good Friday Service which was monitored by Anaedoonline, the Archdeacon of Cathedral Church Of St. Mary’s Uruagu Nnewi, Ven. Samuel Anowai encouraged Christians to draw inspiration from the sacrifices Jesus Christ made to save mankind from sin.

He called on Christians to emulate Jesus Christ’s humility, adding that Jesus demonstrated servant leadership with his disciples and humbled himself even unto death on the cross of Calvary.

Speaking during the service, one of the Assistant Priest, Rev. Ugochukwu Ilione frowned at the very disappointing attitude of Christian towards living a Christ-Like life, he expressed worry over the current crime rate and a lot of social ills going on in Nnewi, he charged Christians in Nnewi to go back and take all available evangelical tools which will help in preaching the life of Christ into the lives of the those he called the “Lost Sheep”

On his part, Rev. Moses Okoye who is also an Assistant Priest inside the Cathedral church urged Christians to use this period for sober reflection as this will help them to make necessary corrections as it concerns their Christian life.

The service which recorded an average attendance witnessed the reading and analysis of the popular Seven words of Jesus Christ on the Cross.
