Easter: Nonso Okafor (Smart) Charges Christians To Emulate Christ.

Anambra State House Of Assembly Member-Elect for Nnewi North State Constituency, Nonso Okafor, has charged Christians to reflect deeply and emulate the life of Jesus Christ, who sacrificed all to redeem and reconcile man with his creator.

Nonso Okafor who gave the charge in an Easter message personally signed by him, also urged Christians to show love to each other as we continue to strive for a better society.

Umunnem Ndi Nnewi,

I bring you Easter greetings in the name of Jesus Christ whose sacrificial death and glorious resurrection we celebrate today.

Easter is a period that affords us the opportunity to reflect on the life and times of Jesus Christ and the sacrifices he made to save mankind from sin. Our Lord Jesus Christ sacrificed his comfort in heaven to redeem and reconcile us with our Creator.

As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ today, it is important for us to emulate the life of peace, humility, love, and sacrifice, which Jesus Christ clearly lived during his earthly ministry. Most importantly, as Jesus admonished his disciples, we must love ourselves, neighbours, our town Nnewi, our State and Nation because the absence of love is evil.

Umunnem, as we mark this year’s Easter, the time has come for Ndi Nnewi both indigenes and Non-indigenes to rise up and make sacrifices for the growth and development of our town, our town Nnewi is living on past glory, we must leave our comfort zones to sacrifice for a greater Nnewi that will take back her place economically and politically. We must think of how to address our current challenges both in infrastructure, security, youth unemployment and the overall development of Nnewi. That is the sacrifice our town deserve now.

As your incoming State House of Assembly representative, let me assure you that my genuine desire to bring quality representation to our people should never be in doubt, by the grace of God and with your support, we shall achieve great things for Nnewi.

As we celebrate this victory, i pray that we experience the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ in our different endeavours. Let us continue to pray for a more united and progressive Nnewi.
