Zainab was arrested in Saudi Arabia in December 2018 after a banned substance, Tramadol, was found in her luggage. Investigations later showed that the substance was planted in her luggage by a drug cartel that plants hard drugs in the luggage of unsuspecting travelers.
The Nigerian Federal government today secured her release.
