A Nigerian woman has been elected as the Mayor of Enfield, United Kingdom
Councilor Kate Anolue ( Dr ) who hails from Nanka in Anambra State has been elected Mayor of Enfield.

In Attendance in her swearing-in were Ohaneze Ndigbo, Members of Anaedo Social Club, Bame Communities In the Uk, Anambra Unions and member of the Labour which happens to be the party she belongs to.

The mother of Four who is the founder of FAWP (Forum for African Women in politics) was once the deputy mayor of Enfield, she has also served as the Mayor in 2012-2013 and was selected again to take over from councilor Christine Hamilton.
We recall that late Prof. Dora Akunyili was also from Nanka.
