Nnewi Sports Club, Kotec Warriors Elect New Executives

One of the foremost sports club in Nnewi, KOTEC Warriors held their general elections for the club today, 25th May 2019, at the  Bana ‘B’ bar in Nnewi.

The members of KOTEC Warriors met earlier in the morning at Nnewi High School, Nnewi, for their weekly Saturday work out  where they jogged and did other body exercises before proceeding to Bana ‘B’ bar for the election proper.

The election which started at about 8:30am was conducted by Ide Jonas Ofomah and his team of Ad-hoc staff, who are also part of KOTEC Warriors.

The members were expected to nominate their selected persons for a particular position; after which the method of secret balloting is used to determine the winner for the position.

The election coordinator Ide Jonas Ofomah encouraged the members to elect capable hands that will serve them well.

By 10:00 am, the members of KOTEC Warriors had successfully elected twelve members amongst them into various positions.

The CEO of Bana ‘B’ bar, Barnabas Njoku emerged as the president of KOTEC Warriors.

Other winners inclue, Vice president-Ikechukwu Emedun, Secretary-Chinedu Umegbu, Assistant Secretary-Ikenna Ezenwa, Financial Secretary – Ferdinand Nweke, Treasure – Uchenna Emenike, Majority Leader-Linus Nwosu, PRO-Uchenna Okeke, Provost-Sunday Chukwukama, Assistant Provost – Chika Ogbu, Welfare/Entertainment – Monday Okafor, Asst. Welfare/Entertainment -Henry Ogbonna.

While speaking to anaedoonline.ng, the President-elect, Barnabas Njoku expressed his joy over his victory.
He said, “I was not expecting it, out of so many people here, they chose me. I am happy”.

He further said, he will work with the new executives to take the sports club to the next level.

Also speaking to anaedoonline.ng , Ogochukwu Emenike, Director , Tummy Tummy foods Nig. Ltd and also the sponsor of the sports club said he was impressed with the way the election was conducted. He commended the members and the winners for abiding by the rules of the sports club.
The newly elected executives were inaugurated and Hon. John C. Nwafor(Landlord) said a prayer for a successful tenure for the new team.

KOTEC Warriors is a sports club which was started in 2005 by a group of young men who were interested in promoting healthy living through sports. Although, the club bears a brand name”KOTEC”, it is not only owned by the brand but by every member.

In Addition; EMENIKE, NGONADI, OGBU Celebrated their birthdays with KOTEC WARRIORS

KOTEC Warriors did not only hold their elections today but they also celebrated the birthdays of their members which they do every last Saturday of the month.

This Saturday, the club celebrated the birthdays of Ogochukwu Emenike, Executive Director Tummy Tummy foods Nig. Ltd, Nzube NGONADI, CEO, Damas Events and Chika Godswill Ogbu whose birthdays were on May 7th, May 8th, and May 16th respectively. The three members present were called out and prayers were said for them. The ” all male members clubs” also sang birthday songs to the celebrants.

In a chat with Anaedoonline.com, Ogoochukwu Emenike who said he had celebrated his birthday earlier in the month also said that he was thrilled to still celebrate it again with the KOTEC Warriors family.
Nzube Ngonadi on the other hand said he is happy to celebrate his birthday with his friends. He further stated that “every year you celebrate your birthday, you are shortening the years and getting closer to grave”. Also Ogbu Chika said he is wishing himself and his other colleagues a long life and prosperity.

There was a lot to eat and drink by the members in celebration of the trio’s birthday.
