Ekwulobia Takes a Double in 2019 Governor’s Cup Competition

Two teenage football teams from Aguata have won both the U-13 and U-17 trophies in the just concluded Gov. Willie Obiano Cup competition among primary and secondary schools in Anambra state.

The young lads from the Central School Ekwulobia sent their counterparts from Eri Primary school Aguleri to the cleaners with a 3-2 final score in the final match decided yesterday.

In the same vein, the U-17 team from Community secondary School Uga equally dismissed their side challengers from Metropolitan College Onitsha with a lone goal victory on the twenty-seventh of May, with both U-13 and U-17 trophies carted home by the champions who took Aguata local government area flags to the state soccer exhibition.
