Operation Keep Nnewi Clean: Igbo Spiritual Leader Lauds Innoson

 

The 64-year-old Igbo spiritual leader, Chief Romie Ezeonwuka (Ogilisi Igbo), has commended the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Innoson group of companies, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, on his ongoing exercise to clear all the refuse dump site in Nnewi.

Speaking to Anaedoonline, on Sunday 3rd of June, 2019, Chief Ezeonwuka, who is also a member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) Board of Trustees (BOT), praised the Billionaire Businessman for taking it upon himself to evacuate waste in Nnewi, on the directive from the State Governor.

The respected Igbo leader who was present during the exercise at the refuse dump site at Maria Regina Model Comprehensive Secondary School Nnewi, advised the State Government to contract Innoson to manage waste in Nnewi.

He said, “Innoson is an Indigene of Nnewi and a lover of his people, he should be given charge of keeping Nnewi clean, the Governor should not look outside Nnewi when looking for someone to keep Nnewi clean”

Speaking further, he said, “Innoson is a rare breed, he skipped the church service to keep Nnewi clean because he understands that God is not a dirty God and also that Cleanliness is next to Godliness, he is an example in every sphere of life, he is an example in manufacturing, an example in trading, an example in cleanliness and also in devotion to service”

Advising the State Governor, Chief Ezeonwuka, pleaded that the Governor should contract Innoson to manage waste in Anambra State. In his words, he said, “The success of Nnewi exercise should be used as a yardstick on what innoson can offer in Anambra State, Innoson having successfully evacuated refuse dumps in Nnewi, he should well be asked to take charge of waste evacuation in Anambra State because such jobs can only be given to people who can deliver”

He, however, urged the State Government to pick people like Innoson to handle some government projects like road construction, pothole repairs, and housing projects, saying that quick response to small problems helps in checkmating big problem in the future, such projects should be given to those who have the capacity and capability, he concluded.
