Governor Obiano Commission’s 500 KVA Power Transformer in Nnewi
The Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief Dr. Willie Obiano, has commissioned a 500 KVA 33 line Transformer in Uru Community, Umudim Nnewi as part of his administration’s plan to improve electricity in the state.
Represented by his Special Adviser on Budget Monitoring and Efficiency, Hon. Sir Melie Onyejepu, the Governor said that the commissioning of the Transformer was a direct response to the yearnings of the people living in the community who has suffered years of lack of power supply.
Speaking during commissioning of the Transformer, the representative of the Governor said that the Transformer was a result of the several requests made by residents of Uru Community Umudim on the need for Transformer in the area, he added that the Transformer will be a relief to residents of the community who have not seen light in the last few years.
Speaking, Hon. Melie assured the community of continuous government support as it concerns the development of the town.
He said, “This is the beginning of good things for Uru community, they have been supporting the government and the political party in power, the road has been approved for construction, the contractor will soon be mobilized to the site and work will start immediately”
Residents of the area who were on the ground to give the Governor a warm reception expressed their gratitude to the Governor, while assuring their continuous support for the government.
