Building Nigeria, One Youth At A Time, As G.U Okeke Empowers Students In Anambra
The Chairman, Board of Directors, G. U. O Transport Services Company Limited, Chief Godwin Ubaka Okeke has empowered over one hundred (100) indigent students in Anambra State, under his scholarship scheme.
The students were drawn from all the tiers of the nation’s educational institution. The transport guru who would not want to reveal how much it cost him to keep the indigent beneficiaries in school said he derives joy from seeing people shedding tears of joy after he gets them empowered.
He pointed out that he floated the scholarship scheme as a way of appreciating God who has been so good to him in all his endeavours.
Chief Okeke who also doubles as the MD/CEO of G.U Okeke and Sons Ltd, said it is a thing of joy for him to see students who would have dropped out of school becoming successful professionals.

He said it was for that singular reason that he decided to construct the English language department building which was converted to Chinese language development center at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and a three storey building accommodating four hundred students at Paul’s University, Awka.
The G.U.O boss urged the affluent to always remember the less privileged individuals in the society.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Juliet Okafor who is also pursuing a law degree in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, thanked Chief Okeke for his intervention, noting that she wouldn’t have been able to continue her studies after the demise of her parents, if not for his support.
