Nkwo Market Stakeholders Give Market Hustlers ( Ndi Oso Afia ) Red Card In A Section Of The Market

Nkwo Nnewi market stakeholders and importers have banned market hustlers (Ndi oso afia) from functioning within the Fairly Used and New Motorcycles section of Nkwo Nnewi market.

Yesterday, being 21st of June 2019, all stakeholders and importers in Nkwo Nnewi gathered at their head office for a meeting where they resolved to place a ban on Market Hustlers ( Ndi Oso Afia ) who ply their trade in the Fairly Used and New Motorcycles section of Nkwo Nnewi market.

The Chairman Fairly Used and New Motorcycle Dealers Association (FUMNDA), Mr. Chieloka Ubajekwe, who exclusively spoke to anaedoonline.ng, told us that the Market Hustlers have become a threat to businesses in that Section of the market.

In his own words, he said “From investigations, it was discovered that these market hustlers (Ndi oso afia) formed a group. This group would set their extreme and ridiculous prices on goods (Fairly used or new motorcycles or parts) marketed by them and will only sell to customers at the price set by them, thereby stalling the sale and progress of dealers”

Mr. Ubajekwe also spoke about various complaints from both dealers and customers such as the unethical approach of market hustlers (Ndi oso afia) towards customers in order to market their goods, making the customers scared and insecure due to a huge sum of money being carried by the customers to the market.

One of the market stakeholders also complained that the Market Hustlers sell inferior goods to the unsuspecting customers at the price of the original version of that particular commodity as well as obstructing the customers from making their right choice, as a result of the pressure they put on the buyers when they ( buyers ) are making their choice.

Speaking, Mr. Chieloka Ubajekwe, collaborating what the stakeholder added, “Customers have complained that they do not feel secure with the way market hustlers (Ndi oso afia) cluster around them at the point of entry of the market especially when they ( Buyers ) carrying a huge amount of money.”

Evidently Miffed Ubajekwe Continued , he said, ” Dealers have also complained about goods being returned to their shops, with the buyers claiming that the price on the goods are ridiculously high, whereas the reality is that the Market Hustlers were the ones who convinced the buyers that they can get that particular (inferior ) at cheaper rate.”

”These issues have led to series of conflicts between customers and dealers with the market hustlers (Ndi oso afia) nowhere to be found.”

However, market hustlers (Ndi oso afia) were advised to get a shop or get attached to a shop so that their business will be confined to the shops.
