Auto Crash; One Die, two injured
Recently, along Onitsha-Enugu expressway, Awka, Anambra state, a vehicle spinned off the road and crashed into the side drainage, leaving one person dead, two others injured.
The white colored Honda Odessey car with three persons on board which ran out of lane around the State Government House, injured occupants who were rushed to the hospital for treatment an eye witness said.
He also said that the driver of the vehicle was on high speed when he suddenly skidded off the road and crashed into the side drainage.
Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Mr Andrew Kumapayi, who confirmed the crash, blamed the driver for over speeding.
He added, “Two males and one female were in the white coloured car, Honda Odessey with registration number, AWK 716 DU.”
“But only one person, a male was confirmed dead.”
Kumapayi said the deceased was taken to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), Amaku, Awka, hospital.
