Awka Bishop Elected to Lead Anglicans in Anambra State (Photo)
The Standing Committee of Church of Nigeria has voted for The Most Rev. Alex Ibezim of Awka Diocese to be the new Archbishop of Province of Niger.
In order to provide as soon as possible for the replacement for the outgoing Archbishop of the Province of Niger, Bishop Alex Ibezim has been elected to lead Anglicans in Anambra State.

Bishop Alex Ibezim who was elected in the early hours of today, Wednesday, 3rd of July, 2019, in the ongoing Standing Committee of Church of Nigeria holding in Lagos State, is expected to replace the outgoing Archbishop of the Province and Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, His Grace, The Most Rev. G.I.N Okpala.
It will be recalled that Archbishop Okpala was elected last year February for the position he currently occupies.
