Ifeanyi Ubah Urges Chinese Government To Make Its Visa Procurement Less Cumbersome For Nigerians
Anambra South Senator, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Thursday, paid a courtesy visit to the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr. Zhou Pingjian to discuss issues relating to Chinese visa procurement by Nigerians.
According to Senator Ubah, many Nigerians usually complain about the cumbersome process of procuring Chinese Visa, despite the fact that Nigeria has contributed massively towards advancement of the Chinese economy.

’’And as a Senator with an agenda of promoting business friendly environment for the people, it is necessary to meet with the Chinese government through its embassy in Nigeria to discuss and consequently resolve the matter,’’ he said.
Senator Ubah who was warmly welcomed by the embassy ,further advised the Chinese government to consider the adoption of a more effective visa policy framework that will not destabilize the long-standing commercial ties that exist between both countries as Nigerians all over the world are known for excellence and entrepreneurship.
In response, the Chinese Ambassador thanked Senator Ubah for the visit and intimated him that China is currently working on an improved communication system that will focus on updating Nigerians on the visa application procedures with the primary aim of improving communication between visa applicants and the visa processing unit of the Chinese embassy, in a bid to boost the number of Nigerians that are granted entry visas daily.
’’Nigeria is the potential workshop of the world ,increased Visa issuance and entry of Nigerians into China would foster better understanding and friendship between both countries as well as increase revenue,’’ the Ambassador explained.
He further affirmed his commitment to Senator Ubah’s vision which is geared towards the creation of an era, where more “Made in Nigeria goods” will thrive.
