When asked how the preparation schedule looked like before the actual competition, she narrated,  ”We go into spelling before every other academic activity for each day, so it was not a difficult task because the students were already used to it. I had to employ the services of the school French teacher, English teacher, Phonetics teacher, and other coordinators to put them through. I am the happiest woman in the whole wide world, for all our effort had not been in vain. Right now I think they need not much prayers, the God that started the work will surely finish it. The only thing they need now is to get prepared and take the bull by the horns. They have done it before during the French competition, so I believe they will make the school proud again”.

Mrs. Nnodebe Mbanugo, an English Teacher and also Coordinator for Junior Secondary School was among the teachers who prepared the students for the competition.

When she was asked how the Spell-It competition started, she said ”we got an invitation from Word Best Educative TV Show for our school to participate in the Spell-It competition both for the secondary and primary section. We went for the first round which was a written screening with 20 of the school children both from the primary and secondary section, out of which only 7 pupils from the primary section and 8 students from the secondary section qualified for the second round. We prepared them thoroughly on how to face the camera and moderators, on words and diction and other necessary things they should know.”

Answering questions as regards the next round of the competition, Mrs. Mbanugo said “we have not been given notice on the date for the final round which will take place at Abuja”.
The spell-IT competition will be conducted in all the 36 states of the federation after which the final round of the competition will be scheduled.”
