Justice Onwuamaegbu said that the essence of Jail Delivery Service is to decongest the Prison as well as ensure that Inmates who have long been awaiting trial received Fair hearing.

The Anambra State Chief Judge advocated that Jail Delivery Service be done three times a year, instead of once annually, to drastically reduce the number of Inmates who have overstayed the lawfully prescribed number of years for their alleged offense, yet no trial.
