Fraudulent Beggers’ Syndicate Uncovered In Anambra (photos)
Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs has uncovered a beggers syndicate that specializes in begging for alms from unsuspecting populace under false pretence.
Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, today being 17th of July 2019, accompanied by task Force officials, uncovered a beggers’ syndicate that specialises in seeking for alms under false pretence, at the Pedestrian Crossing Located at UNIZIK Temporary site, Awka.

According to reports, this syndicate invented a different compelling modus operandi in their activities.
Their pattern is to use bandages and cotton wool sprinkled with ink to the kit abdomen of a healthy little girl and disguise her as very sick and needing funds for surgery’’ A source revealed.
They were taken to Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Center Awka, for further investigation.
