National Immunization Plus Days in Anambra
Anambra State Primary Health care Development Agency has shifted the date for the first round of National Immunization Plus Days, NIPDS, 2019 which was initially scheduled to hold from 13th to 16th July 2019 to Saturday 20th to Tuesday 23rd July, 2019.
In a press release signed by the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive
Officer, Anambra State Primary Health care Development Agency, ASPHCDA,
Dr. Mrs. Chioma Ezenyimulu, it was stated that the Date of the flag off is now Friday 19th July, 2019 and the venue for the flag off remains PHC Enugu- Agidi, Njikoka Local government Area, by 11 am, as against the previous date that was announced.
The Press release, however, apologized for the inconveniences the postponement might cause the general public.
The exercise would ensure sustenance of the interruption of wild Polio Virus in the state as well as to achieve its eradication in the country.
Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) would also be administered to interrupt the circulation of Wild Polio, achieve the eradication in the state and Nigeria at large.
”Parents are advised to avail their children/ward for this exercise as Immunization is the right of every child” The press release Concluded.
