The Convener of ”Revolution Now” movement has been arrested by men believed to be DSS.
Over the past few weeks, one the things that have consistently trended on social media has been ”RevolutionNow”, a Movement that has the intention of organizing a massive Anti-Govt protest from August 5th,2019.
This movement has gained popularity and acceptance among many young Nigerians, like Human Rights Activist, Deji Adeyanju; Nigeria jaga-jaga singer, Eadris Abdulkarim, unconfirmed sources said that Nnamdi Kanu threw his weight behind the movement and many other Notable young Nigerians.

However, the convener of ”Revolution Now”, human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore was arrested at his residence early this morning around 1am by men believed to be DSS.
At around that time, Mr Sowore posted on his twitter page, ”DSS invades Sowore’s”, it is believed that his phone was allegedly snatched from him by men from DSS before he could complete what he intended to type.
Upon further investigation, Anaedoonline.com, got a note that explains what actually
Sowore when he was arrested.
He wrote,” At around past 1 am, armed men knocked on the door. I noticed immediately that these knocks were strange. I looked and saw men armed to the teeth. They started forcing their way in like armed robbers. But i knew they were DSS men, knowing fully well the attention the RevolutionNow has garnered. Sowore wanted to open first but I immediately told him who they are. He retreated and like magic, he was not in the room when they forced their way- 8 of them. That was when he managed to tweet. By this time, i had been beaten and handcuffed, phones were snatched from me. An order to block all exits came from the leader when Sowore was not found inside. He was later arrested at the Gym in a gestapo manner and dragged after a bit altercation.”
”They removed my handcuffs and i quickly seized the opportunity to drive his car (i drive him) to block the Sienna and Hilux they came in. They hit the Lexus Jeep like kidnappers would do to make way for themselves. I followed them till they got to CMD road, around Ketu, when one of them came down from the Siena and cracked his gun., threatening to shoot me. I had to escape at that point.”
Nigerians who wake this morning to the news have started demanding for Mr Sowore’s release using #FreeSowore hashtag. Many supporters of the ”Revolution Now” are insisting that the protest must hold as planned.
