Governor Willie Obiano has commissioned the Anambra State Medical Oxygen Plant, located at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching hospital, Amaku, Awka.
The oxygen plant, christened “IKUKU NDU WILLIE”, by the Managing Director of the Oxygen Production plant, Dr Onyeka Ibezim has the capacity to produce two hundred Cylinders per day and can service hospitals in the State and the entire South Eastern region.

The event was attended by top government functionaries which include; the wife of the Governor, Dr Ebelechukwu Obiano; the SSG, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu; Head of Service, Barrister Harry Udu; Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr Uchenna Okafor; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Primus Odili; former Governor of Anambra State , Emeka Ezeife; former Deputy Governor of Anambra State,Emeka Sibudu, members of the State Executive Council, Traditional institutions, led by Obi Alfred Achebe, APGA party faithful led by Sir Nirbert Obi, medical experts such as Nigeria Medical Association, the clergy, among others.
