Reason Why Governor Ikpeazu Relocateed Workers From State Secretariat Building
The Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the Head of Service, Sir Onyi Wamah, to promptly relocate workers from the Nnamdi Azikiwe State Secretariat building in Umuahia to a safer accommodation.
The governor gave this directive after observing some structural defects in the Nnamdi Azikiwe Secretariat building during an unscheduled visit to the state secretariat. The governor decided to relocate the workers in a bid to avoid human casualties that might arise from any sort of mishap that might occur in the building.

He also directed the Chairman of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, Abia State Chapter, to conduct integrity tests on the building and report back to him within 3 weeks
