Anambra: PCC Reserves Judgements  On Market, Land Allocation  Tussle

The capacity OMBUDSMAN, Prince Samben Nwosu on behalf of Public Complaints Commission, Anambra State after the final hearing and case conference on the Market Land allocation tussle between Igwe Goddy Ezeilo (Igwe Nanka) and Chief Walter Ubaka Okeke on Thursday, 29th August ,2019 made a resolution statement on the matter.

Prince Samben, the Federal Commissioner in charge of Anambra PCC, said this after the final examination session of which he promised to give judgement on the matter on or before 30 days from 29th August so as to ensure justice takes its course since the both parties must smile home after all.

The OMBUDSMAN said He’ll take time to liase with critical Stakeholders so as to ensure fairness & peaceful co-existence between the Complainant & Respondent after his judgement, though with total compliance to his resolution.

Okeke had dragged Ezeilo to PCC, alleging that the monarch was falsely laying claims to the market space allotted to him by the Orumba North Council Authority years back.

Okeke said he paid for the space through the Head of Works after which the chairman of Market Allocation Committee showed him a space and the council approved for him which He surveyed.

In defence,Igwe Ezeilo said he got allocation for the same place between 2013- 2014 with approval to build eatery and a bank.

The monarch said He was the original and bona fide allottee because He was the first to get the allocation from the council authorities before Chief Okeke.Hon.

Obinna Ikwueto, Transition Chairman of the council who was at the case conference, provided documentation history of Nanka Market allocation even when he was not the one in office when the two allocations were made.

The OMBUDSMAN, urged the both parties to remain peaceful assuring them that justice and peace must be restored.
