Nnewi Housing Estate: Chris Azubuogu, Igwe Nnewi, Inspect Project (Photos)
The Member Representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representative, Hon. Engr. Chris Azubuogu, has inspected the Nnewi Housing Estate which is currently under construction.
The lawmaker who was at the project site during the weekend, was accompanied by Igwe Nnewi, His Royal Highness, Igwe Kenneth Onyemeka Orizu (III), to have first hand view of the level of work being done.
The Housing Estate which was attracted and facilitated by Hon. Engr. Chris Azubuogu when completed is expected to have Three Hundred Housing Unit.
According to the lawmaker, the Housing Estate which is situated in about 20 hectares of land within the boundary between Inyaba Umudim, Nnewi North and Ukpor, Nnewi South, was abandoned since 1979, saying it was his dogged approach which attracted Federal Government attention to the project.

As at the time of inspection, workers have already been mobilized to site, with construction of drainage channels almost completed.
During the visit, Hon. Engr. Chris Azubuogu was also accompanied by Nnewi Crown Prince, Prince Barr. Obianefo Orizu, Former People’s Democratic Party (PDP), House of Assembly Aspirant for Nnewi North State Constituency, Hon. Ejim Ucheagwu, Chief Publisher Vintage Newspaper, Mr. Hector Osondu and other personalities.
