The House of Representatives will inaugurate its standing committees on the 2nd of October.
The Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila announced in July the composition of the Chairmen and Deputy Chairmen of the Committees before embarking on annual recess.
Idris Wase, the Deputy Speaker, who presided over plenary today announced that the chairmen, deputy chairmen and members of all Standing Committees will be inagurated after the holiday.

It would be recalled that last week, the Speaker asked all the ad hoc committees to conclude their investigations and handover to the standing committees.
Wase said that the list of committee members would be announced soon, adding that the leadership of the House would meet with chairmen and their deputies figure out the workings of the Committees.
