The Honourable Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru lauds the State Governor, Engr. Dr. David Nweze Umahi for his transparent system of Governance.
He made this commendation at state House of Assembly, Abakaliki during an emergency session for the review of the 2018 Audit Report of Ebonyi State Government.
In his words, “My happiness is that this report is very sound. The observations made were all in favour of the report and this points to the dignity and transparency of Ebonyi State Government led by our dear Governor, Engr. Dr. David Nweze Umahi.
It is quite uncommon to see an Audit Report come out this clean. So I praise the Government and all Ebonyians for this rare feat”.

The 2018 Audit Report which was submitted to the State House of Assembly by the State Auditor General in accordance with Section 125 (2) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended, for review and possible certification.
In the plenary, the Chief Whip Hon. Humphrey Nwuruku, representing Ikwo North constituency moved a motion for the adoption of the report as a working document and was seconded by Hon. Victor Aleke representing Ebonyi North-west constituency.
The report was unanimously approved by the house.
