“I am happy the woman lived well, the rain is a good sign, that she lived well. 91 years is a blessing” says Ekama Emila Akpan (the past president Eastern Zone of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria), this is one of the many words from friends and family of Late Mrs. Ezinne Joy Ekeodu Nzewi.
Late Mrs. Ezinne Joy Ekeodu Nzewi was laid to rest in the presence of her family in her home at Edoji, Uruagu Nnewi, yesterday 27th September 2019.
The burial service took place at St. John Anglican Church, Edoji Uruagu, Nnewi her home church. The minister spoke highly of Late. Mrs. Ezinne Joy Nzewi’s life on earth and eventually anchored his messages. He admonished the congregation to focus on living a good life on earth. He said, “there is an inheritance for everyone. No matter how you live your life, your inheritance will be waiting for you”. He urged every Child of God to live a good life while on earth. The canon ended by saying, “the choice is in your hands.”
After the service, mama’s body returned home(to her compound) to be laid to rest. Mama is survived by four biological children (Engr Chukwuemeka Nzewi KSC, Elder Adaobi Ofomata, Mrs. Uchenna Umego and Revd. Chima Samuel Nzewi), inlaws and many grandchildren who were present to bid her farewell.
