Anambra Chief Of Staff Enrolls 150 Persons Into State Health Insurance Scheme

The Chief of Staff, Mr. Primus Odili has enrolled one hundred and fifty persons into the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme. The event which took place at the Country Home of Odili in Aguleri, Anambra East Council Area, attracted Ndi Aguleri both young and old.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief of staff said the gesture was to safeguard the health needs of the beneficiaries by paying their yearly premiums.

While thanking Governor of Anambra State Willie Obiano for initiating the unique program, Odili thanked the officials of the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency for doing a great job and made it clear that good health care system is the best gift anybody can give to his beloved one.

He commended Obiano for his numerous interventions and exploits and revealed that the state government is committed to giving Ndi Anambra a world-class health system.

The Executive Secretary, Anambra State Health Insurance Agency who is also the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi thanked the Chief of Staff for his benevolence.

Onyemaechi, who revealed that over seventy thousand persons are already benefitting from the scheme, urged well-meaning Ndi Anambra both at home and in the Diaspora to utilize the adoption model of the agency to enroll their loved ones as a Christmas gift to them.

Three of the beneficiaries, Messrs Caroline Igwah, Prophet Fidelis Nnachetta, and Agama Maryann thanked Mr. Odili for remembering them and prayed God to bless him and his family.

Health Correspondent Chibuzor Okoye reports that Dr. Onyemaechi had earlier lectured the beneficiaries on how the scheme works as well as what to do in case of emergencies.
