UMAHI: Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has threatened to sue the Sun, the Nation and Blueprint Newspapers over alleged false publications against the government of Ebonyi State.

The governor said that the stories the newspapers published in their October 21 2019 editions claiming that the state government had approved a parcel of land for the Federal Government’s proposed Ruler Grazing Area (RUGA) were false, malicious and calculated to pitch the state government against the people of Ebonyi State and the entire South East.

In a statement made available to reporters in Abakaliki yesterday, Umahi gave Paschal Oluchkwu, who signed the report on behalf of Ebonyi Indigenes In Diaspora, the Sun, the Nation as well as Blueprint Newspapers seven days ultimatum within which they must retract the stories and apologize to the state government or face legal action.
