Anambra Approves 20 Hectares Of Land For Petrol Tankers

The Governor of Anambra state has approved 20 hectares of land for Anambra state Petroleum and Lubricant dealers to park their Petroleum trucks in the state.

This information was made known yesterday, 30th October 2019, at the Maiden Edition of the Anambra Petroleum and Lubricant Dealers which took place at the Dora Akunyili Women Development Center, Awka Anambra State.

The Secretary to the State Government(SSG) Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu said the Governor had approved the 20 hectares of land for the Petroleum tankers park to ensure the safety of the tankers, to make dealers comfortable in doing their business and avoid them from parking on the highway.

Prof. Chukwulobelu who represented Gov. Willie Obiano at the event also stated that this should enable the tanker union in the state to know when and how to discharge the Petroleum products.

In addition, Hon. Com. Peter Nwosu, who is the SSA to the Anambra state Governor on NUPENG Petroleum and Union matters stated that the dealers had earlier applied to the state Government for a space to park their trucks in the state. He said the association is pleased that the Governor had approved the land for them and that this will save them the discomfort of parking the trucks by the roadside.
