Anambra  Govt Mourns Late Rev. Fr  Nwagbala, Launches Investigation

The Anambra State Government has commiserated with the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi and members of St. Peter’s Cleaver’s Catholic Church, Nnewichi, Nnewi. Community over the death of its parish priest Reverend Father Edmund Nwagbala in a fire incident.

Late Fr. Nwagbala Who died because of fire out break at the parish house the early hours of Saturday at November 16th 2019.

Governor Of Anambra State,  Willie Obiano who visited the scene of the inferno at the Parish House, said that full investigation has been launched into the matter, and asked persons with useful information, to submit same to the police in a coordinated manner.

The Governor was accompanied by the State Commissioner of Police, Mr.John Abang, the State Director, Department of State Security, DSS, Mr. A.Y Hassan Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Primus Odili, National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Oye, among others.

Brief prayers were said at the scene for the deceased and the souls of the faithful departed.

Catholic Bishops of Nnewi Diocese, the Most Reverend Hilary Odili-Okeke, among others, received the Governor.
