Ohanaeze Ndigbo has warned those trying to stampede the present executive of organisation to desist from their pranks.

The apex Igbo organisation regretted that the mischief-makers were “going about claiming that the National election of Ohanaeze Ndigbo would hold in January 2020” and warned them to desist from such propaganda.

The deputy spokesman of the organization, Chuks Ibegbu in a statement noted that the tenure of the Nnia Nwodo led regime would end in January 2021 and not 2020.

He accused “desperadoes” and those who wish to use the office for personal gains as propagating the rumor.”

He assured that when the tenure of the present Ohanaeze Executive is due to end, the world would be told and asked the desperadoes trying to cause confusion over the matter to be careful.

Ibegbu noted that for now, the Nwodo led regime is trying to reposition Ndigbo within the Nigerian polity.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu had on Saturday predicted that Chief Nnia Nwodo would cease to the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo before December 31.
