It seems the political marriage between Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and Sir Augustine Ikeh, the Publicity Secretary of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, has gone soar. In a publication released yesterday by Southeast leading digital news media, anaedoonline.ng, it reported the war of words engaged by the duo over power to evict members from the WhatsApp group of Nzuko Orah Nnewi.
Augustine Ikeh, popularly known by a nickname Ikedoji, is always known to evict members from the group who doesn’t follow his ideas and convictions and many more members who criticize or have opposing views of his weak political thoughts.
One wonders how the beautiful marriage relationship between Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and Ikedoji became soar. Ifeanyi Ubah has been one of the greatest beneficiaries of Ikedoji eviction policy from the Nzuko Ora Nnewi platform. It is generally believed that the Nzuko Ora WhatsApp group was created to oil the political ambition of the Senator and during the early days of the WhatsApp creation, members who oppose or criticize the ambition, tactics of the Senator where evicted from the platform.

The fear of eviction from the WhatsApp group made some critics with opposing views to remain silent. It is not known by this writer during the good old days when the eviction was in favour of the Senator whether he for once stopped or advised Ikedoji about the modus operandi being used for eviction. Save now that it seems that their political marriage has crashed.
One would recall that during the good old days when Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was freely giving out cars to his political associates, a rumor emerged around town that Ikedoji stage-managed the disappearance of his Toyota Camry rickety car to get the attention and sympathy of the benevolent Senator and which he rightly got. He was rewarded with a new vehicle.

Ikedoji is known to have a history of severing relationships from people who have previously helped him rise. A former aide to Prof Obi Nwosu, Ikedoji openly challenged the Professor during his organization of Nnewi Professional Summit, saying that the Professor did not get his approval for organizing the conference. To ensure that he stops Dr. Obi Nwosu, he planned another event to hold the same day as the scheduled Nnewi Professional Summit.
It was Francis Bacon who said when you’re bought, stay bought. Ikedoji should learn how not to be fighting openly people who have given him a lifting hand in life before. He should stop being loyal only to his stomach and shouldn’t be allowed to be used by selfish politicians to destroy his former benefactors. As an amateur in politics, he should understand what loyalty means because the same people he meets while climbing up might be the people he will meet when climbing down.
