The Lagos State Government on Wednesday announced that four children of the same family and their teacher have been quarantined for Coronavirus.
All five persons came into Nigeria from the United States of America (USA).
Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, made the disclosure at a news conference in Alausa, Lagos.
He added that another man from the United Kingdom was also under quarantine.
Abayomi explained that the four children and their teacher were quarantined because they had contact with a Coronavirus patient.

He said the children and teacher were admitted into the isolation centre in Yaba two days ago.
The commissioner said the first test had been conducted on them and that they tested negative.
He added another test would be conducted within 48 hours for final confirmation.
Abayomi said the man from the UK would be tested to ascertain his status.
The Lagos State Government says the condition of the coronavirus patient has further improved.

Abayomi appealed to citizens to stop the spread of false and unverified information about the Coronavirus situation.
The commissioner spoke to journalists while giving an update on the COVID-19 situation at the Mainland Hospital, Yaba, in Lagos.
Abayomi said that there was an ongoing refurbishment of the facility to ensure that patients in the facility were comfortable.
The official said Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has released funds to ensure that personal protective equipment was provided for the health workers, general hospitals and major primary healthcare centers in Lagos
Abayomi debunked information that the Uber driver that brought the patient escaped quarantine.
He added that the patient had also not expressed the desire to leave the facility.
