1. JABIRU STORK

The Jabiru stork is a large bird found in the Americas from Mexico to Argentina. It feeds on small mammals like rats, and on other animals like fishes and frogs.

2. AYE – AYE

The aye-aye is a long-fingered lemur, a strepsirrhine primate native to Madagascar with rodent-like teeth that never stop growing and a special thin middle finger it uses to pick out maggots and worms from holes to eat.

3. HARPY EAGLE

The harpy eagle is a neotropical species of eagle. It is also called the American harpy eagle to distinguish it from the Papuan harpy eagle.

It is the largest and most powerful raptor found in the rainforest and among the largest extant species of eagles in the world. It has a wing that can expand as long as 13 feets and is powerful enough to kill a tiger.

4. AXOLOTL

The axolotl, also known as the Mexican walking fish, is a neotenic salamander related to the tiger salamander.

Although the axolotl is colloquially known as a “walking fish”, it is not a fish, but an amphibian.

They are also used extensively in scientific research due to their ability to regenerate limbs after being cut off.

5. PROBOSCIS MONKEY

The probosci’s monkey or long-nosed monkey, known as the bekantan in Indonesia, is an arboreal Old World monkey with an unusually large nose, a reddish-brown skin color, and a long tail.

It is endemic to the southeast Asian island of Borneo and is found mostly in mangrove forests and on the coastal areas of the island.
