Coronavirus: FG Announce Two New Case Of COVID-19, Count Now 42

Two new coronavirus cases has just been confirmed in Nigeria, taking the total number of cases in the country to 42.

The West African country continues to see a surge in number of cases since the turn of the week, as the government tries to put measures in place to reduce the spread of the virus.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the two cases were confirmed in Lagos and Ogun state.

This was made known on their Twitter platform, where it was revealed that one of the case is a returning traveler while the second case is a contact. NCDC wrote on Twitter;

“2 new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria. 1 is in Lagos State & 1 in Ogun. One case is a returning traveler. The second case is contact of a previously confirmed case

As at 1pm on March 24, there are 42 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria-2 discharged, 1 death”.

Nigeria has taken some drastic measures to keep the spread at minimal and is currently considering the total lockdown of the country.
