Amazing!: Chad President Leads Troops In Destroying Boko Haram Bases

President Idris Debby Burst Boko Haram Warehouse on Saturday evening battle at kelkoua, bank of Lake Chad as Chadian forces fired rockets and 12.5mm rounds on #BokoHaram fighters from both flanks. Several BHT bunkers were discovered and destroyed.

The bombardment followed a seven-hour attack on a military base on March 23 that killed 98 Chadian soldiers.

The bases in Niger and Nigeria were destroyed as part of “Operation Boma’s Wrath,” according to Chad’s presidency which said operations against the terror group would continue without pause.

The terrorists launched a bloody insurgency in 2009 in Nigeria but later spread its killings to neighbouring Niger, Chad and Cameroon, which prompted a military response.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs says more than 30,000 people have been killed and nearly 3 million displaced in a decade of Boko Haram terror activities in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, The troops of Operation Lafiya Dole (OPLD)have eliminated another top Boko Haram commander, Abu Usamah in an encounter on March 22 at Gorgi in Borno, as reported by the Defence Headquarters.

Acting Director, Defence Media Operations, Brig.-Gen. Benard Onyeuko disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.

Onyeuko said that the military communication confirmed by accurate intelligence that Abu Usamah was among the extremist insurgents killed during the encounter.

He explained that Usamah had earlier sustained fatal gunshot wounds in the firefight that ensued during the encounter before his foot soldiers hurriedly evacuated him and withdrew.
