Lockdown: Couple Trek Back Home After Their Wedding (Photos)

With the recent coronavirus pandemic all over the world and government’s order on lockdown and ban on social gatherings, many couples who have their weddings earlier scheduled for this period have gone ahead to postpone it to a later date.

This is not the same for this particular Uganda couple as they decided that coronavirus lockdown won’t stop them from making their vows to each other.

As Uganda is also still under lockdown, a young couple got married in a simple wedding ceremony at Calvary Chapel in Entebbe, Uganda on Saturday.

The ceremony that was graced by a one Pastor Isaac only had 10 people present, including a police O.C that was available for tight security.

The couple, Zoen Harrold from California and Gorret Namaseruka, a Ugandan, was dressed in casual wears made with African prints.

Since public and private transport were banned with the exception of only bicycles, the pastor that officiated the ceremony came riding on a bicycle as well the bride and groom made their way to and from the church on foot.

In light of the lockdown order issued by the government to curb and contain the spread of the CoronaVirus Disease, a lot of social events have had to be put on hold or canceled due to the directive.

There have been many cases of local authorities disrupting social gatherings as people have been warned not to engage in such so this couple look like they had to improvise and carry on with their wedding.
